Fire
Protection
When human life
is at stake, you need to be sure that your fire protection
systems, both onshore and offshore, are as near to fail-safe
as you can get.
In the event of a severe hydrocarbon fire in a critical area,
it is of the utmost importance that the inventory flows are
shut down quickly, effectively and for as long as possible.
The UniTherm Fire Pro system is a flexible cover that is designed
to insulate equipment in order to delay the temperature rise
internally in the event of a fire on the exterior.
Fire
Test And Results
To ensure UniTherm
Fire Pro would perform in critical conditions, the system
has undergone rigorous testing, including a hydrocarbon furnace
test, the flexible system exceeded current industry standards.
The structural
integrity was maintained throughout the hydrocarbon furnace
test at temperatures of more than 2000ºF. After 40 minutes,
temperatures demonstrated that the system would allow time
for evacuation of personnel and fire-fighting before critical
equipment failure was likely to occur.

Features
And Benefits
UniTherm Fire
Pro has been developed in close liaison with the oil and petroleum
industries and meets the need for a flexible insulation, easily
removed for maintenance, but providing a significant degree
of fire protection.
The system is suitable
for use on critical equipment such as valves and actuators,
tanks, riser deck spring supports, control panels junction
boxes and cable trays.
· Fulfills
requirements of UL1709
· Light weight and cost effective
· Computerized heat flow analysis for accurate custom
design
· Fast on-site installation/easily removable

The UniTherm Fire
Pro System has been independently assessed by Underwriters
Laboratories and will be accepted for use subject to the society's
classification rules. In addition, Fire Pro meets with a wide
range of onshore and offshore passive fire protection requirements.
